Cognitive learning includes academic knowledge experiential learning includes applied knowledge. Experiential learning attends to the needs and desires of the learner. Just as what Rogers theorized, Maslow believed that our ultimate life goal is self-actualization. Some characteristics of a self-actualized person are: Autonomous and independent.
