Web3 ott 2012 · I came across this ground strap today. It seems to go up behind the gauge cluster somewhere and the other side currently goes no where. It is also kinda shredded on the end, not sure if it had a ring terminal on it or what. It is covered in that adhesive backed foam covering. Web17 giu 2008 · Hell, if you really want a good ground, I'll make you one with 2ft of 2/0 tinned marine wire with 3/8" sealed lugs (installed with a 12-ton crimper) and adhesive shrink tubing for $20+shipping - I gaurantee that even at high frequencies where surface effects dominate, this grounds better than the factory ground bond. Remove it from the firewall and scrape the firewall to bare metal along with cleaning up the eyelet. Re-fasten securely. You should have a braided ground strap or other large gauge wire grounding the hood. If one of those straps is worn, replace it with a similar braided ground strap or heavy gauge wire. Web21 feb 2024 · I'm trying to remove the ground wires that go to the stud that holds 2 ground wires and the oil dipstick tube to the engine block on my 2001 4.0L. There is a 13mm nut on this stud and when I turned that the stud loosened up but the wires won't turn on the stud. So I can only loosen it about a half turn.
