I rarely look at mine "in the bright sunlight" while flying, but I have never had an issue when I wanted to see something. WebMar 20, 2024 · The 16 uses the gimbals from the 14sg. The 18sz uses the gimbals from the 18mz. Both are fine. I fly an 18sz but I’ve had a 14sg and I’ve flown a 16sz a few times. The 14/16 gimbals are completely fine. The 18 gimbals are slightly smoother and have adjustable detent. The 14/16 gimbals require changing a part to go from smooth to ratchet throttle. WebJan 20, 2024 · The 16IZ also has an extra menu for CGY760R gyro setup, but if you don't fly heli or don't use that particular gyro, then it doesn't really matter. Otherwise, programming is identical to the 16SZ and 18SZ. Keep in mind the 16SZ gimbals are identical the 14SG, and is inferior to the 18SZ quad bearing gimbals. There IS a difference in smoothness.
