Southwest Harbor Public Library - Public Relations

The Southwest Harbor Public Library needed a strategic public relations and marketing plan to create community awareness around its programming and collections. I developed and implemented a successful plan to build recognition and attendance.

Good public relations and marketing build trust with the community and donors. Program attendance not only increased, but fundraising efforts were augmented. Individual donors were emotionally invested in the library’s services and programs through stories told in the media. Institutional donors received social proof to accompany statistical data and frame the larger picture of the impact in the community.
